➣ The Eominas are a bloodline of god-seers. Their very name is a combination of Eos (gods) and Minaris (to see.) A family of strongly gifted Eosin, they possessed the ability to communicate with the Eos and receive visions of the future, as well as their messages and divine edicts. During the Age of Gods, the Eominas were the Edrisilan Royal Family appointed seers. A position that, after The Disgrace, became targeted with violence and hatred. Essentially scapegoated, dishonored, removed from power and hunted, the importance of the name Eomina eventually vanished along with everything else in the following purge of knowledge. These days, very few people are aware of what the Eominas once were (and secretly still are) capable of.

➣ As such, Nia is god-favored and her body/soul will reflect as much. Aligned with divine power and able to receive visions or messages from divine beings, she is also able to see into the future if a very strict ritual is performed.
HISTORY
➣ Eurdine is very much your typical fantasy world. Over 600 years ago, during what was popularly known as the Age of Gods, the various kingdoms across the land were ruled by the Eosin, mortal children sired by divine beings known as the Eos. Demigods in their own right, they alone possessed the unique gifts of magic and were beloved by the the Pantheon. However, the love of the gods could not be confined to singular bloodlines and so were also dispersed among a handful of mortals among the nobility and those of common blood.

➣ Though it was considered blasphemy for god-favored mortals to use their gifts to fight one another, eventually Eosin of both common and noble blood began to vie for the throne using their gifts. The result was an uncountable number of deaths of both Eosin and not. Infuriated by the genocide perpetrated by the greed of their children, the Eos withdrew their influence from the world taking their gifts with them.

➣ Ashamed of their actions and enraged by the abandonment of their gods, later generations then decided it would be better to remove the evidence of their existence entirely. With law and fire, they burnt the names of the Pantheon from the memories of the people, until there was no one left alive who could recall their titles or virtues. However, the fact that the Eos once existed and blessed the mortal realm with their favor is still remembered across the land.
ABOUT
➣ Nia is of common blood. She was born in the kingdom Edrisila, commonly called the Rose Country, for the unique trait of its royal family having rose-red hair.

➣ When she was 2, a second child was born to the royal family- a young princess named Alaniah.

➣ When the princess was 6, a tournament was held, as it always is, to select a handful of children from the kingdom. These children, if chosen, would be trained to protect the princess with their lives, to serve as both her bodyguards and her friends.

➣ Among 80 of the children who volunteered, Nia was one of the 20 who passed the preliminary tests and stayed on till the final 10, judged to be the most fit and skilled. When Princess Alaniah was tasked to select 4 from the 10 over the course of a week, nearly every other participant tripped over themselves in an attempt to please her. So much so that she fled in shyness and irritation to her secret hiding place.

➣ Unsurprisingly, it was there she encountered Nia. Nia, who had opted not to chase the princess around and hound her, had instead chosen to wait patiently and bide her time. There, in her secret place, she was quiet and tranquil, keeping to herself while Alaniah watched her apprehensively. Eventually, when Nia continued to say and do nothing but entertain herself with the garden, Alaniah approached her of her own volition.

➣ Though Nia confessed she did indeed want to be picked, her reasons for doing so were out of respect and love for the royal family. She wanted to protect the princess and serve her faithfully as both friend and bodyguard. To that end, over the course of the selection week Nia and Alaniah spent much time behaving as young girls should. They crept out of the castle, visited the markets, rode horses, threw mud on each other and scaled more trees than was appropriate in fine silks and skirts.

➣ So, when the time to choose came around, the first guard Alaniah chose was obviously Nia. At the age of 8, Nia entered the Rose Guard, a select group of warriors tasked with protecting the royal family. For the next 2 years she trained extensively in combat matters before properly becoming Princess Alaniah's guard at the age of 10. The two became inseparable.

➣ When the princess was 15 and entering marriageable age, she took her guards out on a ride through the countryside in an attempt to escape the severe eye of her older brother, Prince Eraddis. Nia, though hesitant to take her so far from the castle walls, acquiesced to the excursion for fear she would not have many more days of freedom in her life. Unexpectedly, while they were riding on the trail, the party was attacked and immediately separated by a mercenary band known as the Winged Blades. Experts in marksmanship and long-distance combat, though the four guards were equal to the task, they were vastly outnumbered and in disarray. Nia yelled ffor Alaniah to ride to safety.

➣ Surrounded and with their mounts killed in the attack, the four members of the Rose Guard struggled to both hold off the attackers and find a way past their assault. Finally, knowing to separate would be almost certain death but not having any other choice if they wanted to protect Alaniah, Trai ordered Nia to chase after the princess once he, Rem and Mal provided her an opening. Though she did so and stole an enemy mount to give chase, the three were left behind and ultimately perished.

➣ Though Alaniah was able to evade her pursuers for a distance, they eventually caught up to and killed her mount. In a desperate attempt to keep from being captured, when they dismounted to apprehend her, she badly injured one mercenary- a young girl by the name of Maelin, and turned to run. The girl, infuriated by the blinding pain inflicted upon her face, reacted without thinking and flung a throwing knife into the princess's back. Nia arrived just in time to see her fall.

➣ Though Nia was able to recover her body and ride back to the castle, thereby securing the evidence of the mercenary group's involvement, her failure to protect the princess left her haunted and seething with a desire for revenge. She single-handedly accepted the blame for Alaniah's death and bore the brunt of Eraddis's rage and grief. Though the prince wanted her executed, it was his own friend and guard, Shadril that cautioned him against such harsh punishment for what was beyond Nia's control.

➣ Instead, under the guise of exile, Nia was sent on a mission to find the Winged Blades, now in hiding for the accidental assassination of Edrisila's beloved princess, to capture and bring them for judgement.

➣ For the past 3 years, Nia has operated outside of the kingdom under the guise of a disgraced former Rose Guard. A simple bounty hunter trying to make ends meet, she seems both polite and happy go-lucky, accepting her lot in life as bad luck. However, beneath that exterior lies a hardened resolved to find and apprehend her princess's killers. Every day of those 3 years has been spent pushing her body to its limits with training and practice, all in order to find and chain the Winged Blades.
